Allison B. Ford, PhD, LCMHC, NBCC

Triangle Behavioral Health, PLLC

Dr. Ford specializes in working with college students and adults who are experiencing problems with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or the psychological effects of a concussion or TBI. Individual therapy begins from a psychodynamic orientation which values developing trust, a sense of security, and empathic understanding. Dr. Ford helps individuals to gain insight into the origins of their presenting problems, the contributing factors, and the best course of action to alleviate their distress. Dr. Ford utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques to assist the individual in changing irrational, intrusive and self-destructive thought patterns; developing healthy behavior patterns; learning effective coping patterns; and assuming greater control of their own lives.
