Dr. Ford specializes in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a significant mental illness, traumatic brain injury or addiction. Through a psychodynamic theoretical orientation, Dr. Ford utilizes cognitive behavioral techniques to assist the individual in changing irrational, intrusive and self-destructive thought patterns; developing healthy behavior patterns; learning effective coping patterns; gaining deeper insight into the origination of their presenting problems; and assuming greater control of their own lives.
